The warehouse never closes
Staffed twenty four hours. A courier is never turned away, and a message from Toronto at two in the morning gets read rather than queued.
Parcel From India started with a problem that every family spread across time zones recognises immediately.
My cousins would call from three different time zones and the conversation always ended the same way. Someone missed something from home. I started this so that it would stop being a problem.
Srikanth grew up in Secunderabad surrounded by family who, one by one, moved abroad. The calls home were always warm and always ended on the same small ache. A cousin in New Jersey who could not find the right pickle. Another in Melbourne trying to get a wedding saree across an ocean before the date. Someone in London asking whether anybody was visiting soon, because there was a list.
There is always a list. Every family spread across time zones keeps one, written down or not, and it only gets cleared when somebody happens to fly.
The answer was always the same workaround. Wait for a relative to travel, beg a corner of their suitcase, hope it fits, hope it survives. For something as ordinary as a jar of podi or a set of return gifts, that is an absurd amount of effort and an absurd amount of waiting.
What made it worse was that none of it was difficult. The sellers were right there. The couriers flew every day. The obstacles were administrative rather than physical: a retailer that would not take a foreign card, a checkout that would not accept an overseas address, an export form that nobody had ever filled in before. Problems that are tedious once and trivial the hundredth time.
Parcel From India exists to do that hundredth time on your behalf. Shop whatever you want from wherever you are, send it to an address that belongs to you, and let us carry it the rest of the way. No favours, no suitcase space, no waiting for the next trip.
We give people living outside India a free Indian delivery address, receive whatever they order to it, inspect and photograph each item, combine separate orders into one parcel, handle the export documentation and ship it to their door. The warehouse is in Secunderabad and it never closes.
Some of these cost us money. We kept them anyway, because they are the difference between a forwarding service and a shipping label.
Staffed twenty four hours. A courier is never turned away, and a message from Toronto at two in the morning gets read rather than queued.
It is the single biggest saving available to our customers, so charging for it would be charging for the main reason to use us at all.
We will not under-declare a value or label a purchase as a gift. The consequences of a false declaration land on the receiver, not on us, and that is not a risk to pass to a customer quietly.
No ticket queue, no chatbot, no account portal. You message us and somebody who can go and look at your parcel replies.
Everything we do happens at Macha Bollaram in Secunderabad, Telangana. It is an ordinary working warehouse rather than a mailbox: parcels arrive, get opened on a bench, get photographed, get shelved against a customer reference, and later get repacked for export.
The location matters more than it sounds. Secunderabad sits on the domestic courier network that reaches every part of India within a few days, so a seller in Jaipur, Kanchipuram or Kolkata can deliver to us on their ordinary service with no special arrangement. That is what makes it possible to say yes to any Indian store rather than a list of approved ones.
Visitors are welcome. Some customers in India drop parcels in personally, and some simply want to see that the place exists before trusting it with something valuable. Message ahead so somebody is expecting you.
Srikanth Bommaraju founded the business and still runs it. The team operating the warehouse in Macha Bollaram is the same team answering your messages, which is deliberate. When something goes wrong you reach somebody who can actually go and look at your parcel.
Our warehouse is at Macha Bollaram in Secunderabad, Telangana. It is staffed twenty four hours a day, which is why couriers can deliver at any hour and why messages from the Americas, Europe and Australia get answered rather than queued until an Indian business morning.
Small enough that the founder reads customer messages, large enough to run a warehouse around the clock and ship to more than two hundred destinations. We would rather be honest about that than pretend to a scale we do not have, because the small part is what makes the service work.
Start with something ordinary and judge us on it. We photograph every item on arrival so there is a record before anything ships, we tell you about problems rather than hoping you will not notice, and our liability position is published in full on our terms page rather than buried.
Yes. We handle the Indian side, the consolidation, the inspection, the packing and the documentation, and we hand the finished parcel to DHL, UPS or FedEx for the international leg. That is how any forwarder works, and the carrier is chosen per shipment based on which is cheapest for your weight and route.
It takes one message, it costs nothing, and you can start shopping the same day.
