5 to 8 business days
Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal at the faster end. Prairie and Atlantic provinces run longer.
Five to eight business days. Canada also has one of the lowest duty free allowances of any country we ship to, which catches people out constantly.
Pricing is based on chargeable weight, the greater of actual or volumetric weight. We compare DHL, UPS and FedEx on your weight and route and quote the cheapest. Receiving, inspection, consolidation, repacking and export documentation are included in the figure we give you.
Shipping is priced on chargeable weight. Everything around the shipping is included, so the quote you get is the amount you pay us.
People reach this page searching for courier charges from India to Canada, India to Canada courier cost, parcel from India to Canada and cheapest shipping from India to Canada. They all describe the same service and the same price, worked out the way set out above.
Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal at the faster end. Prairie and Atlantic provinces run longer.
All three are competitive into Canada and the cheapest genuinely varies by weight band, so we check all three each time.
One of the lowest in the world, and nothing like the higher allowances that apply to parcels arriving from the United States.
Multiple boxes allowed. Over 120 cm on any single side attracts a carrier oversize charge.
Search for Canadian import allowances and you will find figures of forty and one hundred and fifty Canadian dollars quoted confidently. Those numbers are real, but they apply only to shipments arriving from the United States and Mexico under the CUSMA trade agreement.
A parcel arriving from India is not covered by CUSMA. The threshold that applies to you is the general one: twenty Canadian dollars. Above that, duty and taxes are assessed on the full value of the goods.
In practice this means almost everything we ship to Canada attracts tax on arrival. That is not a reason to avoid shipping, it is a reason to budget for it properly and to consolidate, so you pay the carrier's brokerage fee once instead of on every parcel.
These are assessed by Canadian authorities and the carrier, not by us, and they are payable by you as the receiver.
| Charge | Who sets it | Applies when |
|---|---|---|
| Customs duty | Canada Border Services Agency | Goods valued above CAD 20, at a rate depending on the item |
| GST at 5% | Federal government | Goods valued above CAD 20 |
| PST, HST or QST | Your province | Varies by province, on top of or in place of GST |
| Brokerage or disbursement fee | The carrier | When the carrier pays the duty on your behalf and bills you |
Our shipping price covers moving the parcel from our warehouse to your address and nothing beyond that. None of the above is included, and none of it is payable to us.
The duty and the sales tax are assessed on the goods, so combining parcels does not reduce them. What combining does reduce is everything charged per shipment rather than per dollar.
The carrier's brokerage or disbursement fee is charged once per parcel for handling the customs payment on your behalf. Ship four orders separately and you pay it four times. Ship them as one box and you pay it once, alongside one set of international freight instead of four.
On a route where almost every parcel is taxable, those per shipment costs add up faster than most people expect, which makes Canada the market where free consolidation is worth the most.
Five to eight business days on express service. Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal are at the quicker end. Deliveries to the Prairies, Atlantic Canada and anywhere the carriers class as remote run longer and can carry a surcharge.
Twenty Canadian dollars, which is among the lowest anywhere. It is important to understand that the higher thresholds you may have read about apply only to shipments from the United States and Mexico under the CUSMA trade agreement. A parcel from India does not qualify for those, so the twenty dollar figure is the one that applies to you.
Yes. A genuine gift sent from one individual to another is exempt up to sixty Canadian dollars per gift, and anything above that is taxed on the excess. The gift exemption cannot be combined with the twenty dollar general allowance, and it only applies to real gifts, not to goods you bought and forwarded to yourself.
GST at five percent applies federally, and depending on your province you may pay HST or provincial sales tax instead or in addition. Customs duty is separate again and depends on what the goods are. Carriers also charge a brokerage or disbursement fee for handling the payment on your behalf.
The Greater Toronto Area dominates, particularly Brampton, Mississauga and Scarborough, followed by Surrey and Vancouver, then Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Montreal. We deliver to any Canadian address the carriers serve.
For practical purposes the import process is the same, but the sales tax is. Quebec applies QST alongside GST rather than a combined HST, so the total payable on arrival differs from Ontario on the same parcel. Documentation in English is accepted throughout.
Send us the province, a rough weight and what the items are. We will come back with the price and a realistic view of what you will pay on arrival.
