5 to 7 business days
Door to door on express service from our Secunderabad warehouse, excluding customs holds and public holidays at either end.
Five to seven business days, tracked the whole way, with the export paperwork done properly. Our busiest route by a wide margin.
The price depends on chargeable weight, which is whichever is greater, the actual weight of the parcel or its volumetric weight. We compare DHL, UPS and FedEx on your weight and quote the cheapest. Receiving, inspection, consolidation, repacking and export documentation are included in that figure.
Shipping is priced on chargeable weight. Everything around the shipping is included, so the quote you get is the amount you pay us.
People reach this page searching for courier charges from India to USA, shipping rates from India to USA, India to USA courier cost and parcel from India to USA price. They all describe the same service and the same price, worked out the way set out above.
Door to door on express service from our Secunderabad warehouse, excluding customs holds and public holidays at either end.
We quote all three on your actual weight and route rather than defaulting to one, because which is cheapest genuinely changes by weight band.
Heavier consignments go as multiple boxes. Any single side over 120 cm attracts a carrier oversize charge.
All fifty states plus Puerto Rico. Remote and rural postcodes can carry a carrier surcharge, which we tell you about before you ship.
If you have shipped to the United States before and remember parcels under eight hundred dollars arriving without duty, that is no longer how it works, and a lot of shipping websites have not caught up.
The de minimis exemption was suspended for China and Hong Kong in May 2025, suspended globally in August 2025, and suspended indefinitely for every mode other than international post in June 2026. Legislation passed in July 2025 eliminates it outright from 1 July 2027.
In practice this means every parcel entering the United States now needs a formal customs entry with a tariff classification for each item, and duty plus processing fees apply regardless of how little the shipment is worth. There is no value below which a parcel gets waved through any more.
When every shipment needs a formal entry, every shipment carries the processing cost of that entry. Send five separate parcels and you pay five sets of entry fees on top of five sets of international freight. Send one consolidated parcel and you pay one of each.
The duty itself is assessed on the goods either way, so consolidating does not avoid duty and we will not suggest it does. What it avoids is paying the fixed costs five times over, and those fixed costs have gone up considerably since the exemption was withdrawn.
It also makes accurate classification worth real money. A vague description like gifts or personal items invites the carrier to classify defensively, which usually means at a higher rate than the goods actually warrant. We itemise and classify properly, which is slower for us and cheaper for you.
Sarees, lehengas, sherwanis and the jewellery that is not precious metal. Usually against a date, which is why we ask about deadlines up front.
Housewarming and ceremony favours bought in quantity. High volume, low value per item, and exactly the case consolidation was made for.
Indian editions of textbooks and competitive exam preparation material that simply is not sold in the US.
Brassware, decor, handloom textiles and kitchen equipment that has no American equivalent worth buying.
Five to seven business days from the moment it leaves our warehouse, on a tracked express service. Add a day or two for deliveries outside the major metros, and allow for customs now taking longer than it used to because every shipment requires a formal entry.
Yes, in almost every case. The 800 dollar de minimis exemption that used to let low value parcels in duty free was suspended globally in August 2025 and suspended indefinitely for all non-postal modes in June 2026. Every shipment now needs a formal customs entry with a tariff classification, and duty plus processing fees apply regardless of value.
It depends on the tariff classification of each item, so there is no single rate. Textiles, which is what most of our US customers ship, generally attract higher rates than books or handicrafts. We classify every item accurately on the commercial invoice, which is what lets the carrier calculate it correctly rather than guessing high.
Edison and Jersey City in New Jersey, the Bay Area, the Dallas and Irving area, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle and Houston account for most of our US volume, which tracks where the Indian community is concentrated. We deliver to any US address the carriers serve, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, though remote surcharges can apply.
Commercially packaged, sealed, shelf stable food is generally acceptable and is declared properly on the invoice. Anything homemade, fresh, containing meat or dairy, or packed in oil is refused, both by the carriers and by US import rules. Ask us before buying if you are unsure, because a refused food item can hold up the whole parcel.
This is the most restricted category on the route and we will not pretend otherwise. Prescription medication requires supporting documentation and is frequently refused regardless. Over the counter and ayurvedic products are sometimes acceptable. Send us the exact product and we will tell you honestly whether it can go before you spend anything.
Tell us roughly what you have and where it is going. We come back with the chargeable weight and a price from each carrier.
