A parcel box being taped and sealed ahead of being weighed and priced
Straightforward pricing

What it costs, and what it does not

You pay for shipping. Almost everything around the shipping is included, because without it the parcel does not arrive.

How much does Parcel From India cost?

You pay for the shipping itself, priced on chargeable weight and your destination, with GST included. The Indian address, receiving, inspection with photos, consolidation, repacking, export documentation and the first thirty days of storage are all free. There is no membership or subscription.

The shipping charge

How your price is worked out

Four steps, and we show you the working rather than just the total.

  1. 01

    Chargeable weight

We weigh and measure the finished parcel. You are charged on whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric weight, which is length times width times height in centimetres divided by 5000.

  2. 02

    Destination band

Every country sits in a rate band, and the price per kilogram falls as the parcel gets heavier. This is exactly why consolidating several orders is worth doing.

  3. 03

    Carrier comparison

We check DHL, UPS and FedEx on your weight and route and quote the cheapest, rather than defaulting to whichever we used last time.

  4. 04

    One number, GST included

That figure covers receiving, inspection, consolidation, repacking, documentation and GST. Destination duty and taxes are separate and payable by you on arrival.

Not in our price

Three things we cannot and do not charge you for

These are set by your own country or by the carrier, and no forwarder can honestly include them in a quote.

Customs duty and VAT

Assessed by your country on arrival based on what the goods are and what they are worth. Varies enormously by destination.

Clearance and brokerage fees

What the carrier charges for processing the customs entry and paying duty on your behalf. Charged per shipment, which is the argument for consolidating.

Remote area and oversize

Carrier surcharges for hard to reach postcodes, and for any parcel with a single side over 120 cm. We tell you before you ship, never after.

Common questions

Questions we get asked most

No. There is no membership, no subscription, no monthly minimum and no tier system. You pay for shipping when you ship, plus any optional extra you specifically asked for. If you go six months without sending anything you are charged nothing during those six months.

Because the honest answer depends on three things at once: the destination country, the chargeable weight, and which of the three carriers is cheapest for that combination. A single headline figure would be either wrong or so hedged as to be useless. Send us the details and you get a real number in about two hours.

Yes. Every figure we give you already includes GST, so nothing is added afterwards on our side. Duty and taxes charged by your destination country are separate, are set by your own government, and are payable by you on arrival.

No. The figure we quote is the figure you pay us. The only way it changes is if the parcel itself changes, for example if you add an item after we quoted, or if a carrier re-measures the box and finds it larger than we recorded. We measure carefully so the second one does not happen.

One big one, almost always. International freight has a high minimum charge per shipment and the rate per kilogram falls as the parcel gets heavier, so splitting pays the expensive part twice. The exception is when one item is very bulky and light, and we will tell you when that applies rather than quietly charging you for the bigger box.
